CityScapeWhat youll do:
The Risk Analyst is responsible for supporting the organizations risk management framework by performing control testing managing issues and facilitating the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process. This role ensures that operational compliance and strategic risks are identified assessed and mitigated in alignment with regulatory requirements and internal policies.- Control Testing
- Execute periodic testing of key controls to validate design and operating effectiveness.
- Document test results identify gaps and recommend remediation actions.
- Collaborate with process owners to ensure timely resolution of control deficiencies.
- Issue Management
- Track and monitor risk issues from identification through remediation.
- Partner with stakeholders to develop corrective action plans and verify implementation.
- Maintain accurate issue logs and provide status reporting to management.
- Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA)
- Coordinate and facilitate RCSA workshops with business units.
- Assist in identifying key risks and controls ensuring proper documentation in risk systems.
- Analyze RCSA results to highlight trends emerging risks and areas requiring attention.
- Reporting & Analytics
- Prepare risk dashboards and metrics for senior management and governance committees.
- Support regulatory and internal audit requests related to risk and control activities.
- Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to enhancements in risk management processes tools and methodologies.
- Stay informed on industry best practices and regulatory developments.
What youll need:
- 4 years of related experience including 2 years of Risk Management internal audit or compliance.
- High school diploma required; Bachelors degree in related field preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of general banking operations including deposit operations loan administration treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
- Intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations rules and regulations industry standards and practices.
- Intermediate experience with data analysis and research with the ability to identify and escalate cases or inquiries to mitigate bank risks.
- Intermediate skills in MS Office Suite.
- Intermediate experience with banking applications and systems preferred.
- Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.
