Job Summary
Trailer Mechanic

We are currently searching for a Registered Cargo Tank Inspector (HM 183) with 3 to 5 years of tank trailer repair experience for our Houston TX. location!
Address: 7600 East Sam Houston Parkway North Houston TX. 77049.
Shift Hours: Monday through Friday 7:00am- 3:30pm CT.
Pay Range: $27.00 to $41.00 per hour dependent on experience.
(Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.)
Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:
- The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
- Tank service and repair
- Trailer suspension installation and repair
- Experience with air brake systems and repairs
- TIG aluminum stainless or carbon welding experience (optional)
- Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183 hazmat)
Physical Demands:
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- With assistance occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
