We are looking for a CTO Communications Lead with a strategic mind a passion for engaging internal and external audiences on CTOs strategic direction a flair for consulting as well as experience in managing teams of professionals. Your strategic advice skills and communications expertise will drive maximum engagement with internal and external stakeholders. You are a good listener with a customer centric mindset you focus on making impact and you have a hands-on mentality to get things done.
The team
As the CTO Communications Lead you will report to the Global Head of Brand Marketing & Communications. Youll lead manage and execute the implementation of the ING overall internal and external communication strategy and more specifically for our Tech department for various stakeholders. Youll be responsible for and/or involved in translating the Tech strategy and priorities into global communication programmes plans and messaging and advising the aforementioned stakeholders.
Youll be advising the CTO MBB member MT and wider CTO community by identifying key information managing strategic (change) communications programmes and ensuring the right channels are in place to support the achievement of the unified Tech strategic objectives Youll also collaborate closely with your colleagues in Global Retail Communications Global Wholesale Banking Communications Group Communications Media Relations & Issue Management Events & Experiences and Brand & MarCom as well as senior management and corporate staff departments.
Roles and responsibilities
Leading and engaging a team of communications specialists.
Driving internal and external engagement understanding and excitement around the strategy.
Being the communications partner to different stakeholders within CTO for setting their internal and external strategy communications (incl. positioning) while focusing on driving engagement and impact.
Being the liaison between CTO and the global and local Brand Marketing & Comms teams when it comes to strategy engagement.
Helping and supporting leadership to communicate effectively.
Creating relevant engaging and impactful content on CTOs strategic direction that fits the channel/target audience.
Preparing coordinating and executing communications programmes and plans and content for internal and external channels.
Advising the CTO/ CIOs on the identification of key information strategic (change) projects and channel management supporting the achievement of INGs strategic objectives.
Leading a team of experts set the standards for their expertise area and take responsibility for developing innovating and safeguarding knowledge.

10 years of international experience in a major multinational organisation with a complex stakeholder field.
Holder of a masters degree in Communications/Marketing or similar.
Extensive experience including passion for leading a team.
Excellent relationships builder and maintaining working effectively with senior management providing guidance and advice on corporate communications and reputation.
Creative way of thinking and innovative mindset combined with a passionate fun and engaging attitude.
Anticipates and adopts innovations in business while ensuring that the team understands and discusses those changes.
Consistently achieves results even under tough circumstances. For example fosters organisation-wide enthusiasm to surmount obstacles; inspires people to achieve results even when the path ahead is difficult.
Sees ahead to future possibilities and translates them into breakthrough strategies.
Passion for the Banking and tech business.
A proven track record in building and executing engaging and impactful communications programmes and plans.
Develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.

Fluent command of English.
