At Caterpillars Indonesia Batam we manufacture Hydraulic Mining Shovels products used in building the infrastructure and mining to move materials that makes a better world.

As Caterpillars Logistic Planning Engineer you will be assisting in the development of process flows to track lead time by activity and identifying opportunities to reduce lead times while also pinpointing areas for improvement in cost quality and customer service. Additionally implementing and maintaining monitoring systems within logistics to ensure efficiency and continuous enhancement of operational performance.

The successful candidate must bring:

Bachelors degree in engineering with minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of SAP systems for process management data analysis and operational efficiency.
Gained hands-on experience in logistics and storage operations ensuring effective supply chain management and inventory control.
Possess proficiency in AutoCAD as an added advantage enabling the creation and interpretation of technical drawings for design and operational purposes.

What you will do:

Design and implement efficient logistics solutions including warehouse layouts material flow and process optimization to support operational goals.
Analyse storage and productivity data to identify trends improve utilization and enhance overall supply chain performance.
Plan and execute warehouse storage design covering machinery and equipment procurement workforce allocation inventory transfer and integration of WMS and SAP systems.
Manage operational logistics flow layouts using AutoCAD and Epix ensuring accurate material allocation and optimal space utilization.
Monitor and control logistics assets and budget consumption aligning procurement decisions with operational needs and cost-efficiency targets.
Provide training and support for logistics operations introducing new layouts workflows and asset arrangements to ensure smooth implementation of solutions.

Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches tools techniques for recognizing anticipating and resolving organizational operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Work Environment: This position is based in a manufacturing setting.

This position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.
