Job Summary

As the Head of Startup Sales for AWS in Europe North you will play a pivotal role in helping the regions most innovative and high-potential Start-ups scale succeed and transform using the AWS platform. This role is responsible for leading the end-to-end sales strategy planning and go-to-market execution for the Start-up business across Europe North. You will drive revenue growth increase AWS adoption and expand market adoption while managing a high-performing sales team and working cross-functionally with business development marketing partners solutions architecture and service teams.

Were looking for a growth-oriented sales leader with deep cloud domain expertise and a strong understanding of the Start-up market. The ideal candidate will have a track record of success in technology sales leadership the ability to connect to the technical needs of founders C-level executives VCs/ Investors and the strategic thinking to convert complex ambiguous problems into actionable data-driven initiatives. A passion for customer success programmatic thinking and crafting business narratives is essential.

Key job responsibilities

Lead annual business and go-to-market planning for the Startup business segment including developing mature cross-functional engagement mechanisms for planning and execution with a deep focus on sales strategy to respond to local customer needs.
Engage with customers to educate accelerate and grow their use of the AWS cloud to support their business outcomes.
Drive business growth meeting or exceeding revenue targets opportunity creation and progression acquisition and growth goals.
Develop and mature mechanisms to deeply understand local Startup customer needs gaps and opportunities.
Leading and building a culture of sales excellence including skills in coaching and developing high performance sales teams and exemplifying Amazons Leadership Principles.

- Extensive technology related sales business development or equivalent experience
- Practical experience directly selling software products or technology services and coaching sales reps and to do the same
- People management experience
- Experience in a technology Start-up or experience working with Start-ups or other fast moving businesses
- Fluency in English

- Fluency in languages from Northern European countries (Swedish Dutch Norwegian Finnish ...).
- Well-networked in Start-up Communities in Northern countries with the ability to leverage relationships to expand AWS footprint in this customer base.
- Exec experience at a venture-backed Start-up.
