Job Summary
Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - Wound Care

This locum position is ideal for a Nurse Practitioner specialized in wound care providing coverage to ensure continuity and excellence in patient care while permanent hires are secured.
Job Responsibilities:
- Treat various skin reactions and prevent skin breakdown
- Manage and treat vascular ulcers pressure ulcers and diabetic ulcers
- Initiate preventative measures and provide comprehensive wound management
- Apply topical therapies and educate patients and their support systems on care techniques
- Assess and treat draining wounds and fistulae
- Implement actions to reduce incidences of pressure and vascular ulcers
- Provide instruction on proper wound dressing and prevention
- Supervise hyperbaric oxygen treatment
Qualifications:
- Experience in wound care
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient setting
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active and unrestricted Ohio Nurse Practitioner license - REQUIRED
- BLS certification - REQUIRED
- ACLS certification preferred for Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy
