The County of Sutter California is seeking a collaborative and innovative Fire Chief (Classification: Fire Services Manager) to lead its fire services operations and guide the department through a period of growth and organizational evolution. This role offers a unique opportunity to strengthen service delivery enhance community engagement and advance operational excellence within a small community-centered environment. The Fire Chief oversees three stations approximately 32 full-time and 46 volunteer personnel and a $5.6 million budget. They serve as the Countys top fire official and a key advisor to County leadership on fire protection emergency response and public safety priorities. The next Chief will play a pivotal role in stabilizing staffing rebuilding specialized training programs supporting upcoming funding initiatives and reinforcing a cohesive service-driven culture.
