About the Role

Our client a long-established environmental consulting and engineering firm (founded in 1985) is seeking a Brownfield Redevelopment Project Manager to lead environmental site assessments remediation programs and redevelopment initiatives. This individual will oversee full-lifecycle project delivery while ensuring federal state and local compliance and maintaining high-value client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of Brownfield redevelopment projects including environmental site assessments remediation design and construction.
  • Provide guidance to clients and municipalities on redevelopment incentives and strategic planning.
  • Ensure compliance with EPA CERCLA and state Brownfield program requirements.
  • Coordinate with public/private stakeholders including developers community groups local governments and consultants.
  • Lead or support proposal development and business development initiatives.
  • Develop project budgets monitor expenditures and maintain cost control.
  • Define project tasks schedules resource plans and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Resolve project issues proactively and maintain on-time on-budget delivery.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams (engineers scientists contractors planners).
  • Maintain continuous communication with clients and manage expectations.
  • Prepare client billing details and monitor outstanding accounts receivable.
  • Identify opportunities for scope expansion and additional revenue.
  • Mentor junior team members and support internal training.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Environmental Science Environmental Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of environmental remediation and Brownfield redevelopment experience.
  • Expertise in Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs).
  • Strong understanding of remediation technologies and environmental compliance frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and complex projects.
  • Proven client relationship management skills and stable work history.
  • Excellent written verbal and organizational communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a deadline-driven environment.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience advising on redevelopment incentives.
  • Proposal writing or business development experience.
  • Mentoring and staff development experience.
  • Strong financial and project budgeting skills.

Additional Details

  • Hybrid schedule (2 - 3 days in-office weekly).
  • Monday - Friday standard business hours; local travel to project sites.
  • Limited relocation assistance available.
