About the Role
The Orthopedics Nurse Manager is responsible for providing strategic leadership operational oversight and clinical expertise within the department. This role ensures the delivery of safe efficient and high-quality care while supporting staff development regulatory compliance and operational excellence. The Nurse Manager plays a critical role in fostering a collaborative culture and driving continuous improvement within the perioperative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction for daily operations within the Orthopedics department ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to evidence-based practice.
- Develop staffing plans supervise clinical staff and support ongoing professional development.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance workflow communication and patient outcomes.
- Oversee scheduling resource allocation and throughput to optimize efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory safety and infection prevention standards.
- Manage departmental performance improvement initiatives and support organizational quality goals.
- Participate in budget planning and assist with fiscal oversight of services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred
- Active RN license
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
