Job Summary
AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking an APP to provide comprehensive care support and educationto patients and their families through all aspects of their Gastroenterology medical and surgical careprocess. The APP will participate as a key member of the GI team at AdventHealth Avista located inBoulder County to identify and meet the physical and emotional needs of the patient. We are lookingfor someone who utilizes a collaborative multi-disciplinary approach to the patient/familys care servingas an expert practitioner educator consultant and researcher in the inpatient operative andoutpatient settings. They will also be expected to maintain responsibility for job performancespecifications and assume personal accountability for departmental mission organizational mission andthe core values of DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs clinical examinations as necessary for outpatient visits. This includes seeing new patientsconsults and established patients with gastroenterology and interprets test as a resource for individuals with questions regarding their diagnosis or treatment and coordinates the multidisciplinary plan of care. Provides education to patients/families (individuals/groups) about current and potential health problems the treatment plan selfcare and prevention to achieve independence and maximum orders and referrals to specialists as indicated by patient in collaboration with other APPs and physicians using established and approved protocols as required by institutional thorough and confidential maintenance of patient charts and records. Documents ongoing status interventions communications patient response and outcomes inaccurate timely to rapidly changing technologies policies regulations workload and staffing through priority setting use of sound critical thinking and Nurse Practitioner License or Physician Assistant LicenseFull Prescriptive Authority EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Masters Degree2 years of GI experience is preferred but will consider new graduate with recent completion of GI fellowship LICENSURE CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:Certification by physician assistant license by the state of ColoradoBLS BENEFITSPay range: $136690 $148224Relocation assistance: $10000Covered CME time & expensesMedical dental and vision coverage403b/457b contribution and match
