Job Description Summary
As part of the Compressor Aeroderivative Design Team you will focus on our Aeroderivative product line (LM2500 LM6000 and LMS100) and partner with Aeroderivative Services NPI and Sourcing teams to deliver reliable high-quality hardware. Your main focus will be re-engineering the variable stator actuation system and linkages and doing detailed analysis on the compressor cases and supporting structures.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Serve as the key resource and subject matter lead for the variable stator actuation system and linkage hardware on the Aeroderivative compressor.
- Build and maintain the kinematics model for the VSS ahead of the LM6000 characterization test.
- Create a clear method for analyzing aeroderivative compressor cases and capture it as standard work.
- Partner with the team to define an exclusion map for laser probe locations.
- Lead design and analysis work to add new case penetrations that support the characterization test with limited guidance.
- Stay informed on PFAS concerns in materials and processes and drive actions to address any findings in the aeroderivative compressor.
- Mentor and support other design engineers.
- Foster a positive team culture and push for quality urgency and fast execution.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Systems Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience preferably within gas turbines aerospace power generation or rotating machinery.
- Strong understanding of gas turbine engineering tools & methods.

- Highly detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality
- Self-motivated and able to develop solutions with minimal guidance
- Proficient in PLM ANSYS and NX software
- Deep knowledge of drawing creation processes and bill of materials (BOM) development
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Able to pivot priorities and quickly learn new skills to support the team where the need is greatest
- Effective collaborator with the ability to work across teams and disciplines
- Strong communication skills able to clearly convey technical concepts
