The purpose ofthe Infection Control and Linkage to Care Coordinator position is to assistwith monitoring the contractors Infection Control Program. This position will assist with monitoring thequality and standard of healthcare provided by contractors for compliance withrequirements enumerated in DPSCS contracts and policy as it pertains toscreening testing treatment and reporting of all infectious diseases; reviewthe quality of care at facilities via the quality improvement audit process;and work with the contractors to ensure accurate monthly submission ofinfectious disease data.
This positionrequires regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying andinterpreting complex administrative plans and/or policies. This position will act as the departmentliaison with MDH Baltimore City Health Department and other Local HealthDepartments on issues surrounding HIV and HCV training policy and proceduredata development and management and other reportable infectious diseases.
This positionis also responsible for supporting the development and implementation of EPHRdata collection systems to assist with reporting and quality improvementrecommendations related to infectious position will work closely with ITCD to ensure appropriatedocumentation is available to assist with this effort.
This positionwill work collaboratively with the departments Agency Contract OperationsManagers (ACOMs) Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Nurses and the DeathReview Nurse in the oversight of the Infection Control Programs and shallfollow through with request for corrective actions and liquidated damagesassessment for contract non-compliance.
Education:Masters degree in any health relatedfield.
Experience: At least two yearsof experience monitoring an infectious disease program- including datacollection analysis and reporting via spreadsheets.
Preference will be given toapplicants with a Masters Degree in Public Health.
