Job Summary
A nurturing and highly supportive Pupil Referral Unit in Manchester is seeking a patient resilient and compassionate Teaching Assistant for an immediate start.
- Teaching Assistant required ASAP.
- Manchester (Wythenshawe Area) PRU (KS3KS4).
- Seeking a specialist to support pupils with social emotional and behavioural needs using trauma-informed approaches and structured interventions.
You will work closely with teachers behaviour mentors and pastoral staff to deliver personalised support regulate behaviour and create a safe positive learning environment. The role requires strong emotional intelligence excellent communication skills and a calm consistent approach.
Experience and Qualifications
- Experience in PRU SEMH alternative provision or behavioural support essential.
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and behaviour regulation strategies.
- Ability to de-escalate situations and build positive relationships with pupils.
- Resilient adaptable and committed to pupil wellbeing.
