Job Summary

Our client a highly respected co-educational independent school in Northamptonshire is seeking a passionate innovative and highly skilled Art Teacher to join their Creative Arts Faculty from January 2026. The appointed teacher will teach Art across KS3KS5 supporting students as they explore a wide range of media including drawing painting printmaking mixed media photography and 3D design. Students follow a curriculum rooted in experimentation technique mastery visual literacy and contemporary practice.

The role includes guiding pupils through the artistic processfrom research and contextual study to experimentation portfolio development and final outcomes. The department runs a wide range of enrichment including exhibitions competitions gallery trips artist workshops and cross-disciplinary creative projects.

Experience and Qualifications
QTS/PGCE and a degree in Fine Art Art & Design or related discipline
Experience teaching Art at GCSE and A-Level
Strong technical skills across a broad range of media
Ability to support students with portfolio development for Art A-Level and university applications
Passion for fostering creativity critical thinking and personal expression
