Position:SAS Designer - AML Process Enhancement

Location:Toronto ON - 4 days onsite per week
Duration:11-month contract with possibility of extension 40 hoursper week
Background:
Our client is seeking a SAS AML Designer to support ongoing work within the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) program. The consultant will focus on building new capabilities investigating and resolving outstanding defects and ensuring technical solutions align with AML process flows and compliance standards. The role involves hands-on design defect resolution support and strong documentation to maintain traceability across system enhancements and testing cycles.
Qualifications:- Strong experience in SAS Base and Macro programming with proficiency in SAS Enterprise Guide and SAS Management Console
- Hands-on experience with UNIX/AIX shell scripting and DB2/Oracle SQL for analysis validation and optimization
- Working knowledge of Slowly Changing Dimension (SCD) processes and ETL/data pipelines
- Familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies
- Experience with job schedulers such as CA7 or AutoSys and WebSphere for application integration
- Exposure to SAS AML 4.2 (alert generation scenario tuning and automation)
- Experience with ServiceNow for job scheduling ticket management and incident tracking
- Strong troubleshooting data analysis and documentation skills
- Knowledge of AML/Compliance processes and ability to automate SAS job execution
- Experience with testing validation cycles and error handling in production environments
- Strong troubleshooting and data analysis skills
