Job Summary
Charge nurse on duty two pyxis systems anesthesiology providers on stand by located across of ICU No call no weekends. Nurse to patient ratio: 1:2 Trauma Designation: 3 Number of Beds/Cases: 20 PACU bays Age Groups of Patients: Infant Pediatric Hybrid Pedi/Adults Adolescent Adults Geriatric Top 10 Diagnosis/Procedures: general vascular orthopedic urology gynecology ENT cardiac plastic neurology dental Common Medications used on the unit: fentalnyl dilaudid zofran Common Equipment: SCDs pain pump IV pump bair hugger Vasoactive Drip Titration Required - nifedipine dopamine neo Required/Preferred Skills: Line Management Skills: Required: IV Insertion; PICC/Central Line Management; Vascular Device Access/Care; Dialysis Fistula Care/Management; A-Line Management Cardiac Skills: Required: Obtain 12 Lead EKG; Tele Interpretation; Sheath Removal; Cardioversion/Defibrillation Preferred: Epicardial Pacer Management Airway Skills: Required: Procedural Sedation; CPAP/BiPAP; Trach Care Ortho/MS/Onc Sills: Required Epidural/PCA pumps; Chemo Administration; Wound Vac
Shift: 4-10 hour shifts a week between Mon-Fri. No call no weekends. The position is for 0800-1830 shift 4 days a week.
