POSITION: IT Systems Architect
INDUSTRY: Information Technology / Enterprise Architecture
SALARIES: Up to R550k p/a

Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the organisations enterprise architecture and technical roadmap
- Design end-to-end system architectures including applications infrastructure data and
integration layers
- Define architectural standards frameworks and best practices
- Conduct feasibility studies and propose optimal technical solutions
- Research evaluate and recommend new technologies tools and platforms
- Ensure technological decisions support long-term business goals and scalability
- Assess emerging trends in cloud computing AI cybersecurity and automation
- Oversee the integration of new systems with existing infrastructure
- Provide technical guidance to developers engineers and project teams
- Ensure alignment between technical design and functional requirements
- Review technical designs code and solution documentation
- Ensure system architecture complies with security data privacy and governance
standards
- Conduct risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement secure architecture principles
- Work closely with IT leadership business analysts project managers and vendors
- Translate business needs into technical blueprints and actionable requirements
- Present architectural solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ensure systems are designed for high performance reliability and scalability
- Identify areas for optimisation and cost reduction
- Monitor system health and recommend improvements
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications & Experience required:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field
- Masters degree (advantageous)
- Minimum of 5years experience in IT architecture software engineering or system design
