Description
As a Locum Emergency Medicine physician you will play a critical role in providing high-quality medical care to patients in urgent situations. Your expertise will be essential in managing diverse cases and ensuring timely interventions all while collaborating with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients
- Assess and triage patients based on urgency
- Stabilize and manage acute medical conditions
- Collaborate with nursing and support staff for optimal patient care
- Document patient interactions and treatments accurately
- Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions
- Maintain compliance with medical regulations and standards
- Provide mentorship to junior staff when applicable
Requirements
- Valid MD or DO license in the state of practice
- Completion of an accredited residency in Emergency Medicine
- Previous experience in an emergency medicine setting preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Commitment to providing compassionate patient care
