Purpose

Will provide specialist consulting process engineering expertise on projects related to mineral processing of a variety of minerals and metals in particular in copper and molybdenum processing that delivers front-end studies due diligence and asset optimization programs. Worley provides fully integrated services across the Mining & Mineral Processing Value Chain including mine design process engineering site infrastructure waste management water energy and environmental & social sustainability. Our projects cover the entire asset life cycle from concept development and site selection to decommissioning and re-use of the asset.

Responsibilities

Success will be measured against your ability to:

Leverage and grow your regional and local network within the industry to support growth of the MMM business

Lead and work collaboratively with a team in the development of PEA PFS and FS Reports and sign off as a Qualified Person (QP) if required.

Lead and perform plant audits and due diligence assessments

Provide solutions to process optimization and debottlenecking analysis

Lead in the process development of design basis process design criteria process and utility flow diagrams piping and instrumentation diagrams equipment specifications mass and energy balance using METSIM or other similar modeling programs functional descriptions and control philosophy.

Provide project innovation to our clients to improve asset value and maximize NPV and IRR

Assist with project cost estimation including OPEX and Cash Flow modelling.

What you will bring


Requirements:

Experience in tin processing and/or tin plant operations.

20 years of experience in the engineering of mineral processing and hydrometallurgical projects with a specific focus on tin.

5-10 years of operational experience in a mineral processing plant is required.

Ability to perform due diligence peer reviews and trade-off studies for tin projects.

Strong specialized knowledge in mineral processing for tin ores including their unique characteristics and beneficiation methods.

Experience in key unit operations relevant to tin processing such as crushing grinding gravity separation (e.g. jigs spirals) flotation (for sulphide removal or cassiterite flotation) classification filtration and tailings management. Experience with hydrometallurgical operations is an asset.

Ability to interpret various metallurgical test results (e.g. crushing grinding gravity concentration flotation) and use the data for equipment sizing and process design.

Ability to collaborate with geologists and laboratory personnel in selecting representative samples for testwork programs.

Experience in developing and overseeing laboratory and pilot-scale testwork programs for tin ores.

Outstanding ability to understand clients needs identify opportunities in the tin sector and convert them into successful proposals.

Experience using process simulation software such as Metsim or SysCAD for modeling tin processing circuits.

Excellent interpersonal written and oral communication skills.

Strong technical writing skills for reports studies and proposals.

Willingness to travel as required for project assignments client development and collaboration with other Worley offices.
