Key Responsibilities:
- Independently manage a full caseload of workers compensation matters from inception through trial or resolution.
- Litigate cases to verdict demonstrating strong trial capabilities and legal techniques.
- Draft pleadings motions briefs discovery and other case-related documents.
- Attend court proceedings depositions hearings and related appointments independently.
- Provide case evaluations recommendations and strategic analysis to department leadership.
- Collaborate effectively with legal support staff.
- Advise and provide training to claims partners and internal clients.
- Create and maintain accurate software and case documentation.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active good-standing membership with the Florida Bar.
- 510 years of experience in workers compensation law.
- Strong attention to detail self-motivation and discipline.
- Demonstrated trial experience with proven litigation techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a paperless environment.
- Strong communication negotiation and leadership skills with a thorough understanding of Florida workers compensation law.
