Software Engineer - Web Development - 8 yrs of Experience (Partial Telework) - TS/SCI w/Poly clearance is required
Halogen Engineering Group is looking for a Mid-level Software Engineer who will be responsible for:
- Utilizing REACT
- Coding less complex websites using HTML Visual Basic or other web-based programming languages
- Supporting website planning and deployment
- Maintaining a functioning user-accessible website
- Maintaining website technical documentation to assist with website maintenance and upgrades
- Applying concepts develops tests maintain and supports high-performance innovative web-based applications
- Using a variety of internet technologies techniques and tools such as graphics software applications and object-oriented languages to create web page elements such as user interface features site animation special effects databases and e-business applications
- Integrating new web products with existing web applications in order to improve the functionality or design of the organizations website
Location: Annapolis Junction MD

Remote Type: Partial Telework (Up to 16 hours dependent on tasking)

Salary Range
The projected compensation range for this position is $172 to $206 (annualized USD).
Salary is determined by various factors including but not limited to location the individuals particular combination of education knowledge skills competencies and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
Requirements
- Experience coding less-complex websites using HTML Visual Basic or other web-based programming languages such as Java React or XML
- Experience troubleshooting software problems and providing solutions using the latest technology
- Experience using a variety of internet technologies techniques and tools such as graphics software applications and object-oriented languages to create web page elements such as user interface features site animation special effects databases and e-business applications
- Experience assisting with development & execution of test procedures for software components
- Experience with generating & reviewing software/technical documentation
- Experience working in an Agile software development environment
- Experience writing and executing automated tests
Desired Skills
- Experience using with Jira and Confluence
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Experience with Nifi
Qualifications
Fourteen (14) years experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope type and complexity is required.
Bachelors degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
Eighteen (18) years of additional Software Engineer experience may be substituted for a bachelors degree.
