Job Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant role is a crucial position for those who rely on others for basic daily care such as bathing eating and personal hygiene. Caregivers typically work with elderly or disabled individuals in a facility or home care setting.All assignments are per diem (as needed)/On Call

Live in Assignment

Dementia and Professional Caregiver Experience Required

Free Lodging and Food While on Live-in Care Assignment Only

Annual income potential of $50000 - $55000 for long-term commitment to assignments possible.

Caregiver Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs such as showering bathing dressing and eating

  • Assist clients with medications ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctors appointments walks etc.)

  • Assist clients with personal care and hygiene

  • Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises

  • Do the clients shopping or accompany them when they shop if needed

  • Perform light housekeeping duties that clients cant complete on their own including preparing meals

  • Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers nurses doctors and family members

  • Report any unusual incidents to nurses doctors and family members

  • Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Requirements:

  • Prior experience as a professional caregiver healthcare environment hospice in-home care group home

  • CNA orPCA

  • 2 years professional experience REQUIRED

  • Must have training and on the job experience with dementia patients hoyer lifts safe transfer skills and hospice

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties

  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation for every shift (this requirement does not apply to live-in caregivers however we do prefer that you have a valid drivers license)

  • Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner

  • Outstanding communication time management and interpersonal skills

  • Physical endurance to complete required tasks

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting eager to improve and continuously learn new skills

  • Available to work different shifts including nights and/or weekends

  • Willingness to enforce health and safety standards

  • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug testing

  • Must complete all Covid-19 training and follow protocols put in place
