About the role
The Leader Plant Pest Surveillance leads the design implementation and management of a range of surveillance programs in NSW for the early detection containment and eradication of emergency plant pests; and to monitor and collate data for pest freedom status for economically important pests to support and enhance domestic and international market access for NSW plants and plant products. This position leads four direct reports responsible for responding to suspect exotic plant pest reports delivering grains biosecurity in NSW managing early detection surveillance in the high-risk port areas and coordinating area freedom surveillance across the state to support market access.
