Job Summary

Job Title:Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Syracuse NY

Schedule: Monday through Friday 2:00 PM 11:00 PM

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Mechanic is part of a team of individuals that provides mechanical and facility support to the Operations Department. The team member performs a variety of functions as needed in a cold storage warehouse environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Effectively evaluate equipment recommend and perform appropriate cost-effective quality repairs and maintain a variety of industrial equipment.
Repair pump jacks forklifts electrical pallet jacks and reach trucks
Perform preventative maintenance of a variety of machines
Battery changes
Basic facility repairs (minor construction minor plumbing etc.)
Maintain a clean workspace
Perform functions with a strong attention to detail
Communicate regularly by phone and in person with team members part-time representatives and other internal and external customers
Exhibit a professional demeanor and promote goodwill between the Company and customers by providing excellent customer service
Performs other duties as assigned

Experience and Education Required:

High School Diploma or GED
1-2 years of experience in a related field recommended
