Project Safety Coordinator
Location: Sacramento California
Reports to: Director of Safety

We are seeking a Project Safety Coordinator to join our team and support our safety initiatives across job sites. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented proactive and passionate about promoting a safe and compliant work environment.
Position Summary
The Project Safety Coordinator assists in executing specific site safety initiatives under the direction of theDirector of Safety. This position will help coordinate and lead safety efforts on an assigned project identify and resolve potential hazards and ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct or coordinate employee safety training including OSHA-required programs and the use of safety equipment.
- Support foremen in managing the Toolbox Topic Program.
- Administer and oversee the Project Orientation Program.
- Maintain and distribute appropriate levels of safety equipment first aid supplies and materials.
- Perform regular jobsite safety inspections to identify and correct unsafe conditions or behaviors.
- Assist in maintaining a safety liaison between NGi general contractors subcontractors and regulatory agencies.
- Participate in accident and incident investigations to identify root causes and develop corrective actions.
- Support injured employees in obtaining appropriate medical care and follow-up.
- Assist with daily pre-task planning safety sign-in/out processes and site safety meetings.
- Collaborate closely with field operations to address and resolve safety concerns.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients general contractors and NGi team members at all levels.
- Oversee project safety documentation and ensure accurate recordkeeping.
- Support safety management of NGis second-tier subcontractors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in a related field or a minimum of 2 years of relevant field experience.
- OSHA certification preferred.
Qualifications
- Strong project and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced sometimes noisy construction environment.
- Excellent interpersonal organizational and communication skills.
- Proven ability to develop processes where no precedent exists.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other job-specific technical software.
