We are looking for an Advisor and a Senior Advisor to join our Strategy and Impact team in Wellington.
Our team led the recent update of the Government Policy Statement on Housing & Urban Development (GPSHUD) which sets the longterm direction for the system along with indicators to track progress. With the GPS launched our focus is shifting to supporting the strategic view beyond immediate activity - spotting gaps and opportunities assessing impact and presenting our thinking in engaging ways. The team sits within HUDs System Insights & Strategy group which uses data and evidence to understand whats happening now identify future trends and help shape what good looks like across the system.
Senior Advisor Strategy & Impact

Join HUDs Strategy & Impact team to help understand whats working and whats not across the housing and urban development system. You will apply evidence insight and strategic judgement to influence decisions that drive system performance.
Mō te tūnga About the role
- Use HUDs Performance Framework to design and implement practical ways to understand effectiveness and advise teams on monitoring and evaluation.
- Support the development and socialisation of key strategy documents (including GPSHUD Statement of Strategic Intentions Briefings to Incoming Ministers) so they are well understood across the organisation.
- Establish flexible monitoring and evaluation approaches that provide timely feedback on system progress; develop programme and systemlevel reporting for governance groups.
- Analyse and interpret trends in system and organisationlevel indicators; prepare clear audienceready briefings for Ministers SLT and governance.
- Work across Te Tūāpapa Kura Kāinga (HUD) Ministerial offices and other agencies to help them access and use the data and evidence they need.
- Contribute to shared projects and products across System Insights & Strategy.
The salary range for the Senior Advisor role is $105780 $% KiwiSaver contribution.

As an Advisor youll support the team to design and implement practical monitoring and evaluation approaches build evidence and communicate insights that help HUD focus effort where it matters most.
