This Registered Dental Assistant position is an integral member of our team and help foster our clinically led culture. From being the doctors right hand to having the ability to connect with patients and striving to provide the best patient experience Dental Assistants are a key contributor to the success of our practice. As a Registered Dental Assistant with Northeast Texas Periodontal Specialists you will be crossed train to support both back and front office within both locations.

Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year prior Dental Assistant experience required
Mus have RDA Certification
X-ray certification where state regulations specify
Key Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures while helping patients feel comfortable
Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment
Take dental radiographs (x-rays)
Manage infection control by preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment
Provide patients with follow-up instructions following all dental treatment procedures
Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health
Coordinate financial agreements and consent forms for the patients financial responsibility of dental treatment
Assist patients with understanding their treatment plan and increase dental case acceptance

Working Environment & Physical Requirements
This is a clinical working environment where potential exposure to hazardous waste and blood-borne pathogens is possible. Requires prolonged periods of standing sitting leaning and bending up to 8 hours a day. Will be required to carry transport and use tools and equipment. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
