Position: Mental Health Monitor/Sitter (MHM/S)
Schedule Requirement: Must commit to 312-hour shifts weekly for a minimum of 13 weeks
Openings: 1 Day Shift & 1 Night Shift
Pay Rate: $16.30
Supporting Documentation / Additional Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience observing patients monitoring multiple screens and reporting findings.
Minimum of six months providing clerical or support services in a medical or clinical setting.
Service Description
The Mental Health Monitor/Sitter is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of patients who are on suicide watch in therapeutic restraints or otherwise at risk of self-harm or harm to others. Duties include:
Providing continuous visual or video monitoring of assigned patients.
Reporting observations and changes in patient behavior directly to the licensed nurse.
Completing all required documentation accurately legibly and in a timely manner.
Recording and updating changes in the patient chart relevant to activity or behavior.
Following all instructions from medical personnel overseeing the unit.
This role requires strong attention to detail effective communication and the ability to remain alert and responsive throughout long shifts.
