Description

Position Summary:

This position will support the front office functions of the Enterprise Services Department and back office functions of the credit union including card services reporting and account research. This position plays a critical role in fulfilling our branch promises through interaction with employees members and vendors on a daily basis.


Essential Functions:

  • Actively support the mission strategic goals/direction and the core values of the Credit Union.
  • Provide service and support in a manner consistent with our member commitment to meet member needs and provide problem resolution and financial solutions. Perform daily tasks from the perspective of serving the member.
  • Provide service and support to retail operations other departments and co-workers.
  • Process card exception reports to identify card orders that failed. Process address change review card status and order new cards as needed. Report findings to management.
  • Process DPClose Report for closed checking accounts by closing agreements disabling Alkami blocking external accounts and deactivating bill pay as needed.
  • Process Apple Pay report by sending activation confirmation to those who recently activated Applepay on their debit card.
  • Assist Retail employees with requests to activate cards for Apple Pay Google Pay and Samsung Pay. Assist with travel notifications and temporary PINs.
  • Create monthly report of members with a bad address and have an email address on file. Provide report to Marketing for bad address email blast campaign.
  • Review address changes completed in online banking and remove applicable restrictions in the core system.
  • Perform daily download of Payments One reports.
  • Process monthly bad address fees. Process returned mail by noting the bad address in the core system and contact members to update addresses.
  • Perform maintenance in the core system when members register for eStatements.
  • Serve as backup coverage for the receptionist desk. Greet members staff and vendors as they arrive for training and/or meetings. Accept US mail UPS and FedEx packages.
  • Serve as liaison between company employees and outside contractors; i.e. janitorial snack vendors pest control HVAC security WM etc. Coordinates preventive maintenance on equipment and assists branch staff by calling for repairs as needed.
  • Perform account research for members including the retrieval of check images and statement copies.
  • Keep all credit union member and employee related business in strictest confidence.
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of Credit Union Policies and performs their duties in compliance with all policies laws and regulations which apply to position.
  • Understands and is accountable for executing all job functions in a way that is consistent with all requirements of BSA OFAC and the USA Patriot Act/Customer Identification Act (CIP). Note: Failure to comply with requirements may be subject to strong disciplinary action up to and including termination by the credit union as well as civil and criminal penalties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



Requirements
  • Requires education equivalent to a four-year high school education or general education degree (GED). Some post-secondary education preferred.
  • Working knowledge of credit union products and services policies and standard operating procedures required. Knowledge of consumer lending and account opening and closing preferred.
  • Professional well developed interpersonal skills essential for servicing credit union members and projecting a positive image as a representative for the credit union. Approaches others in a tactful manner reacts well under pressure accepts responsibility for own actions and follows through on commitments.
  • Requires judgment to apply broader aspects of established practices to situations which go beyond clear and concise guidelines.
  • Ability to communicate over the phone and in writing.
  • Knowledge of PC applications including Word and Excel required. Experience with automated core banking system preferred. Experience utilizing smart phone and tablet applications preferred.
  • Intermediate mathematical skills required (calculations and concepts involving decimals percentages fractions etc.)
