J&J is seeking a Production Parts Planner who is responsible for preparing reviewing and releasing work orders to ensure accuracy efficiency and clear communication between the office and the shop floor. The role acts as a liaison between engineering and production to make sure all required information materials and approvals are in place before work begins.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Other duties may be assigned.
- Create review and release work orders to the shop with all required details parts and labor instructions.
- Verify accuracy of job information including customer requests and equipment details.
- Ensure parts materials and labor resources are available prior to releasing work.
- Coordinate with technicians parts and operations to schedule and prioritize jobs efficiently.
- Maintain detailed records of work orders revisions and job status in the Companys enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
- Update work orders with notes time entries and parts usage during and after job completion.
- Close out completed work orders with accurate labor hours and cost details.
- Support continuous improvement of the work order release and tracking process.
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree with work experience in a field with a similar job description. Previous experience with manufacturing engineering purchasing logistics or data entry is desired.
