In the role of the Mechanical Design Engineer II you will be part of a team that applies its expertise and knowledge to technical projects finding innovative cost-effective means to improve products techniques procedures and technologies. You will provide engineering support to the largest Honeywell repair and overhaul facility globally design and develop new ideas and solutions for current products repairs modifications and improvements based on in-service issues and market strategy.


As a Mechanical Design Engineer II you will be responsible for supporting shop manufacturing needs creating repair documentation and driving repair process improvements. You will lead and support engineering improvement projects while performing 3D modeling and CAD design. The products you will work on include PSH APU and engine components. Additionally you will define and support Factory of the Future initiatives by utilizing automation digitization and AI.

Responsibilities

Lead and support engineering improvement projects (focused on TAT HPU margins FPY).
Support manufacturing operations and resolve technical challenges.
Develop and maintain repair documentation and technical procedures.
Drive repair process optimization and cost reduction initiatives.
Perform detailed CAD modeling and design for component repairs and modifications.
Collaborate on automation and digital transformation projects.



Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE:
Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences technology engineering or mathematics
1 year engineering experience


US PERSON REQUIREMENT:
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations candidate must be a U.S. citizen U.S. permanent resident asylum or refugee status in the U.S or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.
