Job Summary

Reports to: Pharmacy Operations Leader
Wage Range: $32.32 - $37.26 (start rate is non-negotiable and in accordance with collective agreement requirements)
Hours: 37.5 Hours per Week
Shifts: Days/Evenings/Weekends
Status: Temporary Full-Time (End Date July 3 2026)
Closing Date: December 11 2025
Position Summary
As an integral member of the Pharmacy Services Inpatient Operations Team the Pharmacy Technician is responsible for:
Duties
- Independently performing all technical aspects of prescription preparation including compounding and dispensing responsibilities as per master worksheets;
- replenishing stock medication supplies for assigned areas;
- ensuring patient information is updated and maintained in the pharmacy computer system;
- completing all required reports and documentation;
- attending participating and assisting in staff and patient training/educational functions;
- performing workload measurement support functions;
- and performing cross-functional and/other duties consistent with the job classification as assigned or requested.
Qualifications :
- Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Program at an accredited college or recognized equivalent required
- Registration as a Pharmacy Technician (Part A) in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists required
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and to manage competing priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to learn and troubleshoot changing technologies/machinery (e.g. Pyxis unit dose machine).
- Ability to work variable shifts
- Two years practical and related experience preferred
- Previous hospital experience with unit dose system and intravenous admixture service preferred
