This position will be directly responsible for a variety of key optical assembly programs in our Carlsbad CA facility. The position will focus on manufacturing quality performance of optics and optical assemblies. Key responsibilities will include: proactive reduction and prevention of defects manufacturing performance data analysis internal quality risk mitigation supply chain quality support root cause and corrective action reviews on-site QMS audits support development/enhancement of Quality Engineering standard work and Customer communications.

This individual must be able to work within cross-functional teams to meet and improve upon established manufacturing performance goals.

What You Will Do

• Identify and influence quality systemic improvement
• Lead resolution of quality issues including program support
• Review coach and accept corrective action requests
• Support audit resolution
• Lead and participate in Lean Events relating to quality improvements
• Must possess ability to make critical decisions and reach important deadlines.
• Exert consistent effort to provide quality results that are focused on achieving compliance.
• Consistently produce quality results while evaluating all critical factors.
• Able to make quick and well-informed decisions even under high-pressured situations.
• Displays sensitivity and awareness of how actions affect customers and coworkers.
• Deals professionally and firmly with conflict resolution in any situation.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience

• Certified Quality Auditor (ISO9001 or AS9100 ASQ CQA)
• Certified Quality Engineer (ASQ CQE)
• Lean Certified
• Six Sigma Certified (ASQ SSGB or ASQ SSBB)
• Bachelors degree in a Science Technology Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline.
• Experience with optics

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 82000 USD 164000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. The salary range for this role is 90000 USD - 182000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
