Salary: 26337 - 28835
Hours: 36 per week 52 weeks

We are looking for an exceptional Administrative Support Officer to join our newly established Governance and Business Management function within the Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership.

We are looking for the Administrative Support Officer to:

  • Provide a reliable administrative support service through a variety of formats including; telephone face to face email and online using both Council and NHS systems.
  • Work proactively to facilitate administrative support to the full range of services and activities. Handle sensitive and personal information in line with appropriate Council and NHS policies and confidentiality guidelines.
  • Work within a team of administrative support staff dealing with activities in the Strategic Planning function through provision of information guidance or progressing requests to wider council services.
  • Work within agreed timescales to meet legal and statutory obligations. Deliver administrative support to teams within the policies and procedures on the Council and NHS.
  • Use appropriate systems to process service requests or updates for wider council or NHS services.
  • Work with all administrative support staff to support new initiatives and the strategic direction of the Partnership and ensuring that that all services are planned in a consistent manner in accordance with the Partnerships strategic objectives.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.

Responsibilities

Experience:

  • Experience of working in an office environment
  • Ability to meet targets often with competing deadlines
  • Ability to prioritise own workload and manage expectations of colleagues
  • Experience of handling and working with personal and sensitive information

Knowledge skills and understanding:

  • Detailed knowledge of computer systems
  • Understanding of business support
  • Ability to demonstrate analytical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to assimilate and effectively communicate information
  • Ability to collate and record information accurately and provide clear and comprehensive responses when required
  • Have strong communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Knowledge of the councils policies and procedures (Desirable)

Qualifications and training:

  • Qualified to SVQ2 or equivalent of training and experience in business support tasks

Job specific requirements:

  • Ability to make decisions relating to the provision of business support services
  • Ensure relevant legislation regulations policies and procedure are applied appropriately
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with a range of colleagues and stakeholders
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction
