Quality Assurance Tester

Aretum is on the lookout for a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Tester to join our talented team. As a QA Tester you will be instrumental in ensuring the highest quality standards for our software products. At Aretum we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional technology solutions to our clients in various sectors including defense and civilian applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans test cases and test scripts to validate application functionality
• Conduct thorough testing of software applications including functional regression integration and performance testing
• Identify document and track defects and issues found during testing
• Collaborate with developers business analysts and stakeholders to ensure a high level of quality in the software applications
• Provide timely and accurate status updates on testing progress and any issues encountered
• Participate in meetings and discussions to provide input and feedback on application testing

• Active Secret Security clearance
• CompTIA Security certification or IAT-II equivalent
• 5 years of experience in software application testing preferably in a government contracting environment
• 5 years of experience platform development and/or testing
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies tools and best practices
• Experience with test planning test case creation and test execution
• Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile and scrum methodologies
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze complex systems
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with automated testing tools
• Basic knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Java Python JavaScript)
• Familiarity with bug tracking systems (e.g. JIRA Bugzilla)
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Travel Requirements

This is a remote position; however occasional travel may berequiredbased on project needs client meetings team collaboration events or training is expected to be less than 10% and will be communicated in advance whenever possible.
