The College of Medicine Office of Educational Affairs Senior Administrative and Finance Manager works with the Director for Educational Affairs to develop and manage various UME administrative processes and procedures.
Essential Duties:
- Develops and maintains a process to organize and continuously monitor activities and outcomes that support the functions of the office of educational affairs.
- Manages office staff and policy development.
- Work with deans office finance officials Vice Dean of Education and Educational Affairs unit leaders to plan and manage the UME budget.
- Monitors faculty appointments and FTE distribution to ensure rosters remain current and accurate.
- Supports clinical curriculum operations including scheduling managing affiliation agreements and coordinating facility and preceptor partnerships.
- Analyzes departmental financial procedures.
- Makes recommendations for change and develops strategy for change.
- May act as the payroll coordinator for the department or assist the payroll coordinator by providing oversight.
- Reviews edits and approves employee timesheets tracks leave and special pays.
- Supervises staff in multiple units alongside the Director for Educational Affairs.
- Responsible for hiring terminations training conducting performance appraisals disciplining delegating tasks overseeing work and staff development.
- Anticipates staffing needs by analyzing workflow and strengths of employees.
- Develops departmental policy by analyzing current procedures work issues and current events.
- Maintains policy and procedure manuals and documents process.
- Plan and implement assigned projects designed to improve Academic Affairs programs and services.
- Serves as liaison to coordinate inter-and intra-departmental administrative functions.
- Advises and consults on Educational Affairs human resources functions.
- Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.

Required Education: Bachelors degree AND:
- 48 months experience as a manager in an Accounting Finance or Business office.
Equivalency/Substitution:Will accept 48 months related experience in lieu of the Bachelors degree for a total of96 months of related experience.
Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint)
- Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information
- Highly organized and ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
- Ability to communicate well and build rapport with faculty and staff
- Ability to produce reports
- Ability to multitasks and meet deadlines in a timely manner
