A Brief Overview

Coordinates patient care for assigned patients utilizing the nursing process.

What you will do

  • Utilizes the nursing process of assessing planning implementing and evaluating all nursing care provided within the Cardiac and Pulmonary rehab settings.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of exercise principles and development of an appropriate exercise/rehab plan based on cardiac and pulmonary rehab patient evaluation and assessment. Performs ongoing evaluations of patients compliance and response to therapy and adjusts plan of care accordingly.
  • Initiates provides or delegates patient/family teaching at a level of expertise and documents appropriately noting the recipients participation and response including pre-procedure calling and education.
  • Acts as a patient/family advocate and intervenes if necessary to ensure that patient care is not compromised.
  • Participates in planning scheduling and coordinating patient care.

Required Education License/Certification or Work Experience:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing An active license in the state of practice Upon Hire

Preferred Education License/Certification or Work Experience:

  • Minimum 6 months critical care
