AIG Underwriting teams help to find insurance solutions in areas including Financial Lines Property Casualty Specialty Lines Cyber and Multinational Clients. We are reimagining how we help customers to manage risk transforming our operating model and reshaping our role responsibilities and career pathways. How you will create an impact

  • Driving underwriting excellence across the business by establishing and ensuring adherence to peer review process risk appetite underwriting guidelines net limits management and portfolio rate and pricing adequacy.

  • Lead HO underwriting team in efficiently handling referrals from field underwriters for a diverse array of new and renewal accounts with emphasis on risk selection loss rating program design pricing and coverage evaluation.

  • Working with NA CUO and Casualty leadership develop framework for underwriting authority and assign specific authority to Field Underwriters and Managers.

  • Serve as a technical expert about underwriting issues and provide product specific training to field underwriting teams on an ongoing basis while driving a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement between HO and the field.

  • Lead detailed monitoring standards / quality reviews to assess loss ratios and underwriting results.

  • Drive the collaboration with Legal Claims Actuarial Filing/Regulatory and Operations on individual account or portfolio issues.

  • Demonstrate understanding of regulatory and compliance processes and ensure AIG stakeholders understand the Casualty business model underwriting methodology and the risks we assume.

  • Ensure an effective reinsurance strategy that supports our risk appetite for per risk and aggregation across all product lines as well as active management of the portfolio.

  • Working with NA CUO develop and manage all product underwriting guidelines so they are current and recognize emerging issues.

  • Establish strong relationships with regional leadership; create mutual understanding of overall parameters and goals to drive effective execution of business model.
