Strategic Analytics team generates thoughtful analytics and recommendations concerning strategy development implementation operational controls and performance monitoring. As an associate you will perform quantitative and qualitative analysis on customers to determine the optimal risk strategy to be executed through the product life cycle.
The ReEntry Program is a 15-week fellowship program with the prospect of an offer for permanent employment with JP Morgan Chase at the end of the program. The program offers a reintroduction to corporate life for those returning to the workplace after an extended career break for two or more years. The fellowship placements will be based on both business needs and candidate skill set and interest areas within our Corporate Investment Banking Asset Wealth Management & Commercial Banking Operations business.
Job responsibilities:
- Collaborating in developing maintaining and improving strategies processes and procedures within the assigned function.
- Conducting complex analysis and providing accurate and concise results with recommendations to management.
- Develop and maintain ongoing analytics to provide management with full insight into emerging trends and the quality of the originated accounts and portfolio.
- Acquire deep understanding of the operational processes key performance metrics and profitability drivers enabling the delivery of insights encompassing the full account lifecycle (e.g. underwriting portfolio management collections).
- Identify evaluate interpret and leverage complex internal and external data and develop analytical solutions to enhance risk strategies.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills:
- Bachelors or Masters in Engineering Statistics Econometrics Operations Research Mathematics (or equivalent quantitative field)
- Strong SAS/R/Python and SQL programming skills and Advanced Word PowerPoint and Excel skills
- 6-9 years of experience in Business Analysis Consulting Data Analytics Risk Strategy or related Financial Analysis
- Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills to clearly present analytical findings and make business recommendations and prepare executive level communications.
- High degree of initiative self-direction and excellent project management skills to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
- Proven ability to collaborate and build strong partnerships.
- Intellectual curiosity attention to detail with a proven ability to learn quickly
Preferred Qualifications Capabilities and Skills:
- Prior experience of working in strategy / policy role
