Job Summary

IMC is looking to add a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).The staff CRNA is a member of a team ofprofessionals who are available to deliver different types of anesthetics to awide variety of patients of all age groups and health status in Iberia MedicalCenter. Anesthetizing locations are primarilylimited to the Surgical Suite and the Labor and Delivery Unit. Emergent situations in other areas of thehospital may dictate the CRNAs presence there.
WORK HOURS:
- Call and Weekends expected (for standard employment)
- 1099 and Full Time Employment available
- Potential option:7:00 am - 3:00 pm Monday - Friday NO CALL NO WEEKENDS!

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of an approved Registered Nurseprogram; Graduate of an approved NurseAnesthesia Program
- Must be licensed in the State of Louisiana asa Registered Nurse and an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. Must also be nationally Certified (orRe-certified) by the Council on Certification of the American Association ofNurse Anesthetists. Basic Life Support certification
JOB KNOWLEDGE:
- Staff CRNAs will attendthe hospital required orientation as well as a comprehensive orientation tothe Anesthesia of the Policies and Procedures of the department will bepart of the 90 day Probationary Period.
PRINCIPLE TASKS DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain current/appropriate licensures.
- Report to work as scheduled in proper attirewith appropriate ID.
- Consistently demonstrates job performance whichreflects commitment to the core values of IMC; actively promotes the hospitaland supports the mission and core values of the hospital.
- Be familiar with the Policies and Procedures ofIMCs Anesthesia department and apply them to situations as necessary.
- Perform assignments with accuracy andprofessionalism.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Respect and assist co-workers.
- Establish a respectful compassionaterelationship with clients of IMC.
- Respond professionally in situations that require a CRNAs expertise.
- Be familiar with the IMC Standards ofExcellence.
