Job Summary:
The Technology Architect will support the Digital Health Standards (DHS) Program by leveraging HL7 FHIR expertise and terminology standards knowledge. The role involves developing and documenting HL7 FHIR artifacts conducting requirements gathering and engaging with partners to improve frontline provider workflows. The architect will also create educational content and provide training on terminology services and tooling.
Location:Toronto Ontario Canada
Responsibilities:
- Conduct requirements gathering and develop documentation including presentations and briefing notes.
- Engage with partners and subject matter experts from various backgrounds (clinical business and technical).
- Document and analyze business needs and requirements.
- Develop and document HL7 FHIR artifacts and supporting documentation.
- Validate troubleshoot and problem-solve HL7 FHIR artifacts.
- Conduct environmental scans and data standards research.
- Develop end-to-end workflows and procedure manuals for Enterprise Terminology Services Management.
- Provide hands-on training for tooling (Ontoserver).
- Research and incorporate best practices for terminology services and tooling.
- Develop and deliver learning materials compatible with the internal Learning Management System.
- Participate in collaboration with the DHS team at partner meetings and workshops.
- Develop and present weekly reports of deliverables time and status updates.
- Provide knowledge transfer documents and conduct knowledge transfer sessions for all project deliverables.
- Follow guidelines for documentation templates and data storage and organization.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- 10 years of experience in creating educational content.
- 10 years of experience in digital health standards including terminology maintenance and mapping.
- 10 years of experience with digital health standards including HL7 FHIR SNOMED-CT and LOINC.
- 10 years of healthcare experience within Canada in acute care primary care or community care settings.
- 10 years of hands-on experience implementing HL7 FHIR standards and solutions.
- Experience in FHIR standards assessment selection development and maintenance processes.
- Strong research and analysis skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong partner engagement and management skills.
