- The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical designs with a strong emphasis on sheet metal components DFMA principles and precision modeling. This role requires an extensive background in CREO for 3D modeling detailing assemblies and engineering documentation. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop designs that are manufacturable cost-effective and aligned with product requirements.
- Key responsibilities include creating and modifying detailed models and drawings performing tolerance analyses ensuring compliance with design standards and supporting design reviews. The ideal candidate should also possess experience with Cat systems including Teamcenter for PLM and SDP tools such as Fluid Lines Electric Lines and Sheet Metal modules. A solid understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals and the ability to troubleshoot design challenges is essential.
- A Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and 4 8 years of relevant mechanical design experience are required. Strong communication problem-solving skills and attention to detail are critical for success in this role.
