We are currently recruiting for an Operational Accountant for a leading mining company based in Pretoria. This role is ideal for an analytical detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced operations-driven environment. You will work closely with production shared services and treasury teams to ensure accurate reporting strong financial controls and efficient operational support. This opportunity is perfect for someone who enjoys a hands-on role with direct impact on business performance.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare analyse and present accurate and timely monthly management reports and financial statements.
Collaborate with group shared services to ensure efficient transaction processing and adherence to company policies.
Manage cash flow banking relationships and short-term funding requirements.
Monitor and analyse production costs investigate variances and provide insights to improve operational efficiency.
Oversee inventory accounting processes ensuring accuracy and alignment with ERP system data

Qualification and Skills Required:

BCom Accounting degree (articles preferred)
35 years experience in an accounting role
Exposure to mining manufacturing construction or similar operational industries
Strong MS Office and advanced Excel skills
Strong analytical ability accuracy and the ability to work in a high-pressure environment
