Job Summary
Introduction
POSITION: IT Data Scientist
INDUSTRY: Information Technology
SALARIES: Up to R550k p/a

Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Collect clean process and analyse large structured and unstructured datasets
- Identify trends patterns and correlations to generate actionable insights
- Develop data visualisations and dashboards for reporting purposes
- Build test and optimise machine learning models to support forecasting risk analysis and business decision-making
- Implement algorithms for classification clustering regression and other predictive methods
- Validate model performance and ensure continuous improvement
- Work closely with data engineers to design and implement scalable data pipelines
- Integrate data from various internal and external sources
- Ensure data quality governance and compliance with organisational standards
- Partner with IT product finance operations and business teams to understand analytical requirements
- Present insights findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Translate business challenges into data-driven solutions
- Explore and implement new analytical technologies tools and methodologies
- Keep up to date with industry trends in AI ML and data science
- Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept models to support digital transformation initiatives
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Bachelors degree in Data Science Computer Science Statistics Mathematics or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar analytical role
Package & Remuneration
