About the Role
The Senior Technical Officer Clinical Skills and Simulation plays a vital role in supporting the South Australia Rural Medical Program by managing simulation and clinical skills teaching environments. Based at the Mt Gambier campus this position ensures high-quality technical support for practical teaching and assessment oversees equipment and resource management and contributes to the implementation of innovative technologies to enhance medical education.
Coordinating the setup dismantling and maintenance of clinical skills and simulation sessions.
Managing equipment consumables and teaching resources to ensure smooth operations.
Providing technical support and training to staff and students on the safe use of equipment.
Driving innovation by sourcing and implementing new technologies to meet teaching fidelity requirements.
About You
You will bring a combination of technical expertise organisational skills and a proactive approach to supporting clinical education. Your ability to manage complex equipment prioritise tasks and collaborate effectively will ensure high-quality simulation and skills training for students.
A relevant diploma qualification and experience or an equivalent mix of education and training.
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to work autonomously.
Hands-on experience with technical equipment including assembly testing and repairs.
Well-developed communication skills and proficiency in IT systems and applications.
