Energy Systems is part of our Energy unit who is responsible for product and technology development supply chain operations and project delivery for all Kongsbergs Energy products and systems.
As our Energy System Delivery lead you will support our journey towards greener shipping. This calls for a thorough understanding of current solutions and innovation of new opportunities that will shape the future of the maritime industry.
The System Delivery Lead is responsible for overseeing the successful integration and delivery of complex energy systems for maritime applications. You will work closely with product delivery leads manage critical technical interfaces and guide the overall system design.
Key accountabilities
- Coordinating the system architecture including AC/DC switchgear (HV/LV) Drives control system energy storage and 3rd party equipment.
- Ensure seamless integration and performance of all subsystems at system level.
- Manage technical interfaces between internal product teams and external suppliers
- Drive the system design process from concept through engineering and testing to commissioning and handover.
- Act as the central point of contact for system-level issues internally and externally
- Support project managers with system-level risk assessment and mitigation activities
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred
- Strong background in design and delivery of maritime power systems
- Good understanding of existing and future energy concepts for the maritime and offshore markets.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and external suppliers
