About the opportunity

  • UWA Technology enables teaching research and administration by providing secure reliable and innovative digital infrastructure and services.
  • The Cyber Security Operations role focuses on monitoring analyzing and responding to threats conducting proactive threat hunting and managing vulnerabilities.
  • Responsibilities include incident response malware analysis collaboration with IT teams and maintaining awareness of evolving cyber threats.

About you

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience in information or cyber security.
  • Demonstrated experience in security operations including monitoring analysis and incident response.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Sentinel or other SIEM platforms including the ability to write or modify simple detection queries.
  • Experience with Microsoft Defender or similar endpoint protection and response technologies.
  • Broad understanding of infrastructure platform and cloud technologies.

Note: A current National Police Clearance Certificate will be required by the successful applicant.
