As a Construction Project Engineer you will operate as part of a team that delivers new and modified systems that are safe functional and compliant with design requirements and regulations. The Construction Project Engineer will assist the project management team in coordinating all aspects of construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This is a full-time exempt 1stshift position that reports to the Project Manager and reports to the job site daily in Indianapolis.
Primary responsibilities of the position include:
- Support the Project Manager and Superintendent in daily project operations.
- Review and interpret construction drawings specifications and submittals.
- Manage inventory for spare parts replacements in CMMS system.
- Request quotes from suppliers.
- Assist with RFI and change order processes ensuring timely resolution.
- Coordinate subcontractor activities and monitor progress against schedule.
- Maintain project documentation including meeting minutes logs and reports.
- Track material deliveries and ensure timely procurement.
- Develop and track project issues list
- Ensure project documentation complies with applicable policies procedures specifications and regulations. (e.g. clients policies/procedures/specifications ASHRAE CFR etc.)
- Plan and coordinate project tasks and deliverables with the project team to deliver a successful project.
- Execute individual tasks to meet/exceed project schedule and deliver within budget.
- Resolve day-to-day issues that may arise to ensure project deliverables are met.
- Gain technical knowledge of individual equipment and systems; apply knowledge to project work.
- Proactively communicate with clients project managers and team members with professionalism and a commitment to quality.
- Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to ensure completion of all duties and tasks assigned.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations to include health safety and welfare as appropriate.
- Regular and reliable attendance at work.
- Completion of required company training.
- Other duties as assigned by Company Management.
MinimumQualifications and Skills:
- Bachelors or Associates Degree in Engineering Construction Management or related field.
- 04 years of experience in engineering construction commissioning or related technical field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication.
- Proficiency in CMMS systems Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid drivers license and clean motor vehicle record.
Preferred qualifications:
- Prior experience with maintenance planning reviewing construction drawings and identifying and setting up spare parts in the pharmaceutical industry.
