The Warehouse Filler is responsible for accurately and safely filling labeling and staging gas cylinders and other products within the Airgas warehouse ensuring efficient operations and customer order fulfillment.

* Operate cylinder filling equipment according to established safety procedures and protocols.
* Accurately fill various types of gas cylinders (e.g. oxygen nitrogen argon acetylene) to designated pressures and volumes.
* Perform quality checks on cylinders before during and after filling to ensure proper seals valve function and absence of leaks.
* Apply correct labels identifying product hazard warnings and other required information to filled cylinders.
* Move filled and empty cylinders safely within the warehouse using appropriate material handling equipment (e.g. forklifts hand trucks).
* Stage filled cylinders for shipping or transfer to other areas of the facility.
* Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to all safety and housekeeping standards.
* Complete required documentation including fill logs inventory sheets and safety checklists.
* Identify and report any equipment malfunctions safety hazards or quality control issues to supervision.
* Adhere to all company policies procedures and regulatory requirements (e.g. DOT OSHA).
Job Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
* Prior experience in a warehouse or industrial environment preferably involving material handling or cylinder management is a plus.
* Ability to read understand and follow safety instructions and operating procedures.
* Basic math skills for calculating quantities and maintaining records.
* Ability to operate or willingness to learn to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
* Must be able to lift and move heavy objects (up to 75 lbs regularly) and stand for extended periods.
* Must be able to work in varying temperatures and environments typical of a warehouse setting.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
* Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Successful completion of a pre-employment physical drug screen and background check.
