Job Summary
Position: Building Custodian Second Shift Location:Milford High School Schedule:Twelve Month Position Hours: 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM Salary: Per ContractTo Start:January 28 2026Qualifications:High School Graduate or G.E.D. Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities. Duties and Responsibilities: building and premises including sidewalks driveways and play areas neat and and sands walks driveways parking areas and steps as daily to ensure that all exit doors are open and all panic bolts are working properly during the hours of building the United States flag at or before 8a.m. on each school day and lowers it at or after 3: classrooms daily and dusts furniture when corridors after school each day and during the day when their condition requires hoses down and disinfects toilet floor daily and cleans all sanitary fixtures and drinking fountains all accessible windows on both the inside and the outside at least once each year and more frequently if the grounds free from all floors in a clean and attractive condition and in a good state of horizontal surfaces at least once a such minor building repairs as he is capable major repairs needed promptly to immediately to the principal any damage to school on the school premises during school hours and during non-school hours when the use of the building has been authorized and his attendance is required by the responsibility for the opening and closing of the building each school day and for determining before leaving that all door and windows are secured and all lights except those left on for safety reasons are turned and inventory of supplies equipment and fuel on hand an requisitions such needed replacements from the principal far enough in advance so that they may delivered in such time as will not hinder the custodian in his an ongoing program of general furniture or equipment within buildings as required for various activities and as directed by the with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of trash rubbish and waste.
